Facts about Poppy

- Poppy studied in the Studium, but didn't become an archon. So she studied more about flowers.- She keeps a journal of dried pressed flowers.-She's allergic to some flowers, which makes her sad to talk about.- Her dialect is mostly from where she travelled from. She tends to pick up the dialect after staying for long periods of time. (Ex: Namazu: "Yes, yes!" Sylph: "This one-" Referring to herself in third person.)-When lost in Gridania, she was taken in by the friendly beast tribe of Slyphs. Which in turn helped her study more about plant life.-Poppy is a curious being, so she tends to trail off on her conversations. Thinking about different solutions, references, and questions.-She also writes in her journal to keep notes and reminders. A bit of a bullet journal. (Not like her studying journal.)

Poppy was born in Sharlayan, raised to become a Forum member or an Archon. But after not understanding much about what it would be like as the two, she decided to learn more about her interests. At the young age of 5, she always loved to look, smell and touch flowers. They always peaked her interest and has always had a strong connection to them. Especially the Elpis flower she had seen in Labyrinthos when her parents took her to see the sights. From then on she wanted to see more of what was beyond Sharlayan. Poppy took on the job of becoming a gleaner, against her parents wishes.

It was then that she travelled across the world at the age of 20, to the Far East and all the way to Eorzea. But the rat girl hit a small slag in her adventures. Being the forgetful being, she missed her boat back to Sharlayan. So she was stranded in Gridania, walking anywhere she could to find a place that didn't require much gil to live. But her wandering made her dreams come true. For as vast as Gridania's forests are, there is also plant life surrounding every corner. Poppy took it upon herself to study more up close and eventually find a place to stay nearby. And now that could find proper work, she saved up enough gil to travel where she so desires. Be it for flowers, studying, or making new friends.

  • As per usual, this rat loves to talk about flowers. Ask her about her journal or what her favorite flowers are. She'd be more than happy to tell you.

  • Have some adventures of your own and have picked up souvenirs? She wants to inspect what it is or where it came from.
